Do I need to be a CalCPA member?+
No. CalCPA Connect is open to everyone. Though members get extra perks like access to select communities and events.
What email address should I use?+
Use the same email address you use to log in to the CalCPA website.
What kind of gatherings are these, and do they cost anything?+
These are casual social meetups, separate from CalCPA’s signature events and CPE programs. There’s no fee to attend. You only pay for what you choose to purchase onsite, such as food or drinks.
What makes a meetup different from a CalCPA event?+
Meetups are casual, member-led ways to connect—no formal agenda, speaker or CPE required. They can be as simple as coffee, a walk, lunch or a conversation around a shared interest.
I already registered on the website. Do I need to register again in the app?+
No. Register once, either on the CalCPA website or in the app, and you’re set.
How do I cancel my registration?+
You can cancel your meetup registration in the app or on the CalCPA website, regardless of where you registered. For CPE event registrations, you'll need to log in to calcpa.org.
Who can create a meetup?+
CalCPA Connect is built for community participation. Approved hosts can create simple meetups around professional interests, hobbies or activities they enjoy. Interested in hosting? Complete your profile and let us know.
Does hosting a meetup cost anything?+
No. Think of hosting as inviting people to meet at a place together. There’s no need to reserve a room, put down a deposit or pay for anyone else. See the host guide for details.
