Celebrating 125 years of California CPAs
In 2026, California CPAs celebrate 125 years of leadership, trust and impact.
Since the California Board of Accountancy was established on March 23, 1901, the profession has played a vital role in protecting the public and strengthening California's economy. What began as a framework for accountability has grown into one of the most influential CPA communities in the nation.
To commemorate the anniversary, Sen. Roger Niello introduced Senate Concurrent Resolution 111, recognizing the profession's century-long impact and the establishment of the California Board of Accountancy.
This milestone reflects the strength of a profession that continues to lead and serve California every day.
